Former Bassetlaw Hospital worker in court over sex assaults

A former healthcare assistant has appeared in court charged with sexually assaulting three patients in his care at a Nottinghamshire hospital.

Matthew Shah, 23, is accused of assaulting the women - aged 64, 84 and 88 - while they were being treated at Bassetlaw Hospital in Worksop in 2010.

Mr Shah, of Savile Street, Retford, was released on bail after a hearing at Worksop Magistrates' Court.

He is due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 13 October.
