Visitor centre opens at Clumber Park in Nottinghamshire

A new visitor centre funded by a lottery grant of almost £800,000 has opened at Clumber Park in Nottinghamshire.

The new Discovery and Exhibition centre is housed in the derelict former brewhouse at the park.

It features interactive displays to help visitors learn more about wildlife and additional rooms for schools and community groups.

The centre received a grant of £797,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Beth Dawson, general manager, said: "We're really excited to have opened this fantastic new facility.

"The Discovery Centre will provide a base for visitors to find out more about this special place, discover more for themselves and share their stories of Clumber Park."
