Boy, 14, denies Jacqueline Bartlam murder

A 14-year-old boy has denied murdering a woman whose body was found in a burning house in Nottingham.

Jacqueline Bartlam, 47, was discovered by fire crews at her home on Georgia Drive, Redhill, in the early hours of 25 April.

A post-mortem examination showed she died from head injuries.

The boy, who cannot be named, appeared at Nottingham Crown Court, where he pleaded not guilty to murder. He is due to stand trial on 23 January.
