Babworth crash victim identified by police

A driver who died in a crash in Nottinghamshire has been identified by police.

Paul Newbert, 28, of South Leverton, died when the car he was driving was in collision with a Vauxhall Zafira in Babworth, near Retford on Wednesday.

A 47-year-old man, who was travelling in the Zafira, was taken to Bassetlaw Hospital with a serious leg injury.

A Ford Mondeo struck debris from the initial crash, but none of its occupants were injured.

Nottinghamshire police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the crash to contact them.
