Police place dispersal order on Newark estate
A six-month dispersal order has been imposed in a Nottinghamshire town after an increase in anti-social behaviour.
Police will be able to move along groups of people in the Hawtonville area of Newark after an increase in complaints about intimidation.
A previous dispersal order was not renewed in the summer after a drop in complaints, a police spokesman said.
Police said recent reports of wheelie bins being set alight had prompted them to apply for the order to be renewed.
A separate order is in place giving police the power to confiscate alcohol from people in public places in Hawtonville.
Parents of youths identified as causing trouble have been contacted by police or council officials and issued warning letters.
