Eight arrested in Mansfield murder inquiry

Eight people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found dead in Nottinghamshire.

Paramedics were called to a house in Chesterfield Road South, Mansfield, just after 10:00 BST on Tuesday and found a man believed to be in his 40s.

A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out later.

Seven men and a woman, aged between 43 and 24, were arrested. The woman and a 39-year-old man have been released without charge.

The other six men remain in custody and detectives have been given more time to question them.

The victim, who is yet to be formally identified, is believed to be in his 40s.

A cordon remains in place while forensic examinations continue.
