Nottingham murder suspect, 21, charged by police

A 21-year-old has been charged with the murder of a Kent man in Nottingham city centre.

Liam Rockley, of Lower Kirklington Road, Southwell, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Monday and was remanded in custody.

Robert Holland, 36, of Sidcup in Kent was found with head injuries on Lower Parliament Street, early on Friday.

He was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre, but was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.

A post-mortem examination showed he died from head injuries.

Mr Rockley will appear at Nottingham Crown Court on Wednesday.
