Cash stolen in Sherwood post office raid

Two masked men who stole cash from a Nottingham post office are being sought by police.

The premises, in Hucknall Road, Sherwood, were targeted on Wednesday morning as a Royal Mail delivery driver was collecting money from the shop.

The men, one of whom was reported as having a suspected firearm, demanded cash from staff.

The pair then fled with money in a grey bag and escaped in a stolen Black Audi A3 parked in nearby Valmont Road.

Both men are described as being about 5ft 10in tall, of medium build, and wore dark clothing.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Nottinghamshire Police.
