Police warning over Nottingham ATM devices

Police in Nottingham are warning people to be vigilant after three reports that cash machines had been tampered with.

Devices were found on a machine at Asda, Hyson Green; on one in Queen Street in Nottingham and on one in Derby Road in Lenton.

Nottinghamshire Police said in each case a small strip of metal was put over the money dispenser slot.

Police also want to trace a man seen near Derby Road cash machine shortly before the device was discovered.

He is described as white, aged between 25 and 40 and was wearing blue jeans, a purple hooded jacket, a striped scarf and a hat or bandana with a chequerboard pattern.

The man was seen on 7 December. Police have asked anyone with information about the devices to contact them.
