Woman, 57, dies in Nottinghamshire crash

A 57-year-old woman has died after a road accident involving a car and a lorry in north Nottinghamshire.

The woman was taken to King's Mill Hospital in Sutton-in-Ashfield, where she later died from her injuries.

The accident on the A6075, near the Ollerton Island, at 9:10 GMT involved a Ford Fiesta and a Ford articulated lorry.

The 53-year-old male driver of the articulated lorry was uninjured, Nottinghamshire Police said.

The road was closed for about eight hours before being reopened later.

Any witnesses are being asked to contact the police crash investigation unit.
