'Brazen' theft of Langar forklift trucks

Police are urging anyone who may have seen two forklift trucks stolen from a secure compound in Nottinghamshire to come forward.

The yellow CAT trucks were stolen from Trent Shot Blasting in Langar sometime overnight on Saturday.

Nottinghamshire Police said they thought the thieves got in via a nearby airfield and go-karting track.

Det Sgt Tara Clapperton said: "This was a brazen theft of two very large, very noisy vehicles."

She added the trucks were moved "at a time when there would be little need for them to be on the roads".

"If anyone saw or heard anything suspicious in the area or on the surrounding roads around the time of the theft, or knows the whereabouts of the trucks, which would, frankly, be very difficult to hide, please get in touch."
