Nottingham man cleared of three counts of rape

A Nottingham man has been found not guilty of rape and sexual assault at a trial in Derby.

Richard Mundle, 32, of Raymede Drive, Bestwood, was charged with three counts of rape, two of sexual assault and one of misuse of a computer.

The former community protection officer was convicted of the computer charge and given a 12-month conditional discharge at Derby Crown Court.

The offences were alleged to have taken place between May and November 2010.
