Man charged over Carlton bank raid

A 25-year-old man has been charged with carrying out a robbery at a Nottingham bank.

He is accused of threatening a security guard outside the Lloyds TSB branch in Carlton Hill on 1 March and taking a cash box.

The suspect appeared at Nottingham Magistrates Court on Monday and was remanded in custody to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 2 April.

Five other people arrested over the raid have been bailed.
