A £15m community centre is set to open in an inner city area of Nottingham.

The Valley Centre on Livingstone Road in St Ann's will combine local council services along with a library and doctors' surgeries.

The new one-stop centre will offer services from NHS Nottingham along with benefits advice and housing information.

St Ann's Library will reopen in the new centre after moving from its old location at Robin Hood Chase.

The centre, which was funded by NHS Nottingham City and a government grant, is the city's fourth such complex after Bulwell, Clifton and Hyson Green.

Nottingham City Council's David Trimble said: "This new centre will build on the success of the existing centres and will offer a modern accessible and flexible space allowing an integrated approach to service delivery."
