Two more people have been arrested in relation to the shooting murder of a Nottingham teenager.

Malakai McKenzie was fatally wounded in the car park of The Hubb pub, in Hucknall Road, Sherwood, in the early hours of 21 April.

A man and woman, aged 24 and 21, from the Long Eaton area of Nottingham, were arrested on Sunday, on the A42, on suspicion of assisting an offender.

They are now in police custody in Nottinghamshire.

Police said a vehicle was also seized during the arrests.

Accomplice warning

More than 60 officers, including some from neighbouring forces, are working on the murder investigation.

Two other people, aged 19 and 17, have already been arrested and bailed in connection with the incident.

Det Ch Insp Tony Heydon said: "While clearly our main focus is arresting those responsible for the murder of Mr McKenzie, we will pursue and arrest anyone who we suspect of assisting or harbouring offenders.

"Anyone with any information, whether you witnessed the incident or know who is responsible, please come forward. You can be assured you and your information will be treated in the utmost confidence."
