An 18-year-old and a 16-year-old youth have been charged with the murder of a man whose body was found in a Nottinghamshire nature reserve.

Nathan Somers, 19, from Newark, was found on a path in Beacon Hill Conservation Park after police were called on Friday to reports of a fight.

Reuben Edwards, 18, of Gardendale Avenue, Clifton, and the boy of 16 are to attend a bail hearing on Wednesday.

Three men and another teenager have been released on police bail.

A Home Office post-mortem examination found Mr Somers died of a stab wound.

The park was reopened on Monday following the completion of forensic investigations, Nottinghamshire Police said.

Officers also said they were still appealing for witnesses to the attack.

A plea and case management hearing is scheduled for the pair at Nottingham Crown Court on 18 September.
