Man, 75, dies following car crash in Nottinghamshire

A 75-year-old man has died four days after a collision in Nottinghamshire.

A Ford Mondeo and a Peugeot collided on the B6045, between Worksop and Blyth village, at about 20:25 BST on Saturday.

The driver of the Mondeo, Frederick Bower, from Worksop, was taken to Bassetlaw District General Hospital where he later died on Wednesday.

A passenger in the same car, A 37-year-old woman, was also taken to hospital. Her condition is described as stable.

Three people travelling in the Peugeot, two women and a man, were taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The two women remain in hospital.

Nottinghamshire Police have appealed for information about the crash.
