Cigarette 'put out on boy's head' in Nottingham

Police have issued a CCTV appeal after a man allegedly stubbed out his cigarette on a three-year-old boy's head in Nottingham.

The child was with his mother in Noel Street, Hyson Green, when the attack is said to have taken place at about 18:30 BST on 6 September.

The man is alleged to have approached the pair before putting out his cigarette on the boy.

Police said the man was black, aged 30-35 and about 5ft 3in (1.6m) tall.

He is described as being of average build with short afro-style hair.

The child was not seriously injured in the attack.
