Three men have been arrested in connection with the stabbing of a 27-year-old man in Nottingham.

The victim was found injured in Long Row, near Primark, at about 01:45 GMT on Sunday, police said.

Detectives said the man, who was wearing a light grey top featuring an image of a bearded man, is in a stable condition in hospital.

Two men aged 19, and one aged 21, were taken into custody on Thursday and will be questioned by police later.

Detectives have appealed for eyewitnesses and said the man's jumper could jog memories.

Det Insp Keith Priest said: "The top worn by the victim that night made him quite distinctive.

"We believe the attack took place near the Brian Clough statue not long before the victim was found. We also think a number of people were involved."

The victim is described as mixed race, around 5ft 10ins (1.78m) tall and of a muscular build. He also has closely cropped, dark hair.
