Police have called off a woodland search as part of their investigation into the disappearance of Nottingham woman Debbie Starbuck.

Ms Starbuck, 44, from Old Basford, was last seen in April 2010.

An area of woodland off Whinbush Lane, near Calverton was sealed off last week as part of enquiries into her disappearance.

A Nottinghamshire Police spokesperson confirmed nothing had been found at the site and the cordon had been lifted.

They said last week's heavy snow had caused some delays and officers were only able to properly begin their searches on Monday.

Ms Starbuck, formerly known as Debbie Cooper, was only reported missing to police in March last year after a friend became concerned that they had not heard from her for some time.

Her husband, Jamie Starbuck, 36, of no fixed address, has been charged with her murder and is next due to appear at court on 10 May.
