A man arrested on suspicion of murdering Nottingham teenager James Brodie has been released on bail.

The 34-year-old was the third person arrested in connection with the 2003 disappearance.

Mr Brodie has not been seen since jeweller Marian Bates was shot dead in a robbery at the Time Centre in Arnold. He was 19 years old at the time.

Last week, Nottinghamshire Police searched land at Maize Farm, East Heckington, Lincolnshire.

Dean Betton, aged 32, of Raleigh Street, Radford, has been charged with Mr Brodie's murder. He will appear at Lincoln Crown Court in April.

A 31-year-old man, who was also arrested on suspicion of Brodie's murder, was released on bail on Thursday, pending further inquiries
