Flintham kidnap inquiry sees seven arrested

Seven people have been arrested in connection with the alleged kidnapping of a man in Nottinghamshire.

Six were held at an address in Flintham, near Newark, on Wednesday evening but police have only just released the details.

The seventh was arrested at an address in Sneinton, Nottingham, on Thursday.

The 42-year-old victim, from Manchester, was taken to hospital with minor injuries, after being allegedly held against his will since Monday.

Two men, aged 49 and 27, and a 45-year-old woman, were arrested on suspicion of kidnap.

Three other men, aged 54, 50 and 22, and a 20-year-old woman, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to kidnap.

Five people remain in police custody for questioning while two have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
