Nottingham fight: 12 men charged with violent disorder

Twelve men have been charged after a large-scale fight outside a Nottingham takeaway shop.

Police were called to Broxtowe Lane, Aspley, at about 22.45 GMT on Tuesday.

Nineteen men were arrested at the scene and one man remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital with injuries he sustained in the brawl.

The twelve men, aged between 19 and 30, have been charged with violent disorder and will appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court later.

Police previously said weapons were thought to have been used in the fight but there was "no indication" firearms were used.

Two men who had been injured in the fight have since been released from hospital.

The force said three men, aged 23, 29 and 51, have been bailed pending further enquiries.

Four men were released with no further action.
