Aqib Mazhar murder: Eighth arrest after Nottingham street stabbing

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and bailed after a 21-year-old man was stabbed to death in Nottingham.

Aqib Mazhar, from Forest Fields, was stabbed in Russell Road on 1 June died later in hospital.

The 42-year-old man is the eighth to be arrested over the fatal attack.

Qamran Ahmed, 21, Mohammed Quasim, 24, both of Aspley; Mohamud Alasow, 18, from Nottingham; and Junaid Farrukh, 21, from Oakwood, Derby; have been charged with Mr Mazhar's murder.

They are all due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 22 August.

Three men have been bailed pending further inquiries and one man has been released without charge.
