Skegby Hall School: Man charged with nine counts of indecent assault

A man has been charged with sex offences alleged to have happened at a boys' school more than 50 years ago.

Dennis Young, 89, of Burton Court in York, is accused of committing the offences at Skegby Hall School in Nottinghamshire between October 1958 and December 1961.

He was charged by police investigating historical abuse at the school, which has since closed.

Mr Young is accused of nine counts of indecently assaulting a child under 14.

He is due to appear at Mansfield Magistrates' Court on 3 August.
