A 90-year-old man has denied committing sex offences alleged to have happened at a boys' school more than 50 years ago.

Dennis Young, from York, is accused of nine counts of indecent assault on a boy under 14 at Skegby Hall School in Nottinghamshire.

The offences are alleged to have been committed between October 1958 and December 1961.

Mr Young will go on trial at Nottingham Crown Court on 26 August.

He appeared at Mansfield Magistrates' Court and was granted unconditional bail.

Mr Young was charged by police investigating historical abuse at the school, which has since closed.
