Oxfordshire man arrested after timeshare scheme
An Oxfordshire man has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud following an investigation into a timeshare scheme.
The inquiry followed a complaint to police about a company, with a Banbury address, offering to arrange timeshare sales for a £1,000 advance fee.
Thames Valley police has been working with Trading Standards officers and the Spanish authorities for two months.
A 55-year-old man from Banbury was arrested on 14 September and bailed.
Police said he has been released on bail until January 2011, pending further investigations.
