Vandals have attacked a nursery in Oxford for the second time in two weeks.

Shepherds Hill nursery in Blackbird Leys was closed after staff found sheds and toys had been smashed and thrown around the garden.

It is estimated that the damaged equipment will cost more than £300 to replace.

The nursery manager, Sarah Pearson, described the disruption caused by this second break-in as "soul destroying".

All of the equipment that was broken was brought with money raised by the community.

Ms Pearson said: "It takes a lot of bake sales to raise £300."

Many of the parents had to find alternative arrangements for their children so they could go to work.
