Cyclist dies in car crash on A34 near Oxford

A cyclist has died in a crash on the A34 near Oxford.

He was on the southbound carriageway, a quarter of a mile from the Pear Tree interchange, when he collided with a Ford Fiesta on Tuesday night.

The cyclist, a 59-year-old man, died at the scene from his injuries, Thames Valley Police said.

Police have appealed for anyone who saw the accident at about 1900 GMT, or a cyclist on the A34 prior to it, to contact them.
