Watlington Barclays bank robbed by masked gunman

A masked man escaped with cash after robbing an Oxfordshire bank.

Police said the man was believed to have been carrying a sawn-off shotgun when he walked into Barclays Bank in Watlington at about 1400 GMT.

The robber told a member of staff at the High Street branch to put money in a bag before he left in a vehicle.

Thames Valley Police said no one was injured but bank staff were left shaken by the incident.

The suspect is described as being about 6ft tall and wearing a green jacket.

Police are appealing for information.
