Fourth sex attack on Southfield Road, Oxford

Four sexual assaults in a week have led police to step up patrols in the Southfield Road area of east Oxford

Two women, aged 19 and 20, were attacked by a man in the early hours of Thursday and a 21-year old woman was sexually assaulted early on Sunday.

Another woman, aged 24, has since contacted police to reported a similar attack, also on Sunday.

The attacker is described as Asian, in his 20s, about 5ft 8ins to 5ft 10ins tall and of slim to medium build.

He has short black hair, possibly in tight curls, and the first victim said he had a flat nose.

Sgt Mike Roddy of Thames Valley Police said: "We would like to reassure residents that we have stepped up patrols in the area to identify the person responsible."

He said officers had delivered leaflets in Southfield Road and the surrounding areas to raise awareness of the incidents and to appeal for information.
