Oxfordshire family flee as rubbish set alight
A family was forced to flee their home when a "deliberate" rubbish fire spread to their property in Oxfordshire.
Crews were called at 0420 BST after suspected arsonists set alight to four piles of rubbish in the Cowley area.
Two of the blazes spread to adjacent properties, including the home of the young family who were led to safety unharmed.
Police have started an investigation and appealed for witnesses.
Group manager Rob MacDougall said: "We believe that all these fires were started deliberately.
"Two of these fires spread into buildings and in one case put a family in serious danger.
"Our crews were able to respond quickly and bring the fires under control before they became more serious."
He said firefighters will be assisting the police with their investigations.
