Woman sexually assaulted in car near RAF Brize Norton

A woman has been sexually assaulted in a parked car near an RAF base in Oxfordshire.

The 22-year-old was attacked in a vehicle parked in a lay-by in Station Road near the end of the runway at RAF Brize Norton on Sunday night.

Detectives, who do not believe it was a random incident, think two or three men in two silver vehicles were involved.

The victim returned home in a distressed state and told her mother of the attack, who contacted police.

Det Con Paddy O'Grady, of Witney CID, said: "From the moment it was reported to us we have been working hard to establish what occurred.

"We are appealing for the public's help and would like to speak to anyone who saw two silver vehicles in the area around the time of the incident, or anyone who knows information which could assist our inquiry."
