E-fit after Oxford man attacked with crowbar and robbed

Police investigating a robbery in which a man was attacked with a crowbar in Oxford have released an e-fit of a man they want to speak to.

The 21-year-old victim was walking near the junction of Regent Street and Hurst Street when a group of up to five men approached him early on 17 May.

He was hit across the head with a crowbar, punched and had his mobile phone, debit card and shoes stolen.

The man police would like to speak to is believed to be of Bengali origin.

He is described as being of large build, 5ft 9in and about 22 or 23-years-old.

The victim suffered cuts and bruising to his head and was taken to hospital.
