The trial of a locum doctor accused of sexual offences against eight of his patients has begun.

Dr Yenugula Srinivas, 42, from Bletchingdon, Oxfordshire, faces 11 charges, four counts of sexual assault and seven of assault by penetration.

The prosecution allege he tricked the women into agreeing to intimate tests that were not medically justified. He denies all the charges.

The trial at Oxford Crown Court is expected to last up to three weeks.
