Man injured in 'cleaver' attack in Oxfordshire village

A man has been taken to hospital after being attacked with a large knife in an Oxfordshire village.

Thames Valley Police and paramedics were called to Lay Avenue, Berinsfield, near Drayton St Leonard, at about 11:20 BST following reports of a fight.

Officers said the victim had sustained a cut to his head from a "large knife or cleaver" but his condition was not thought to be life threatening.

A man was later arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
