Man arrested in Oxford after 'gun pointed at car'

A man has been arrested after reports someone was pointing a firearm at a passing car in Oxfordshire.

Police were called to Frideswide Square in Oxford after a man was seen with a gun on Thursday morning.

Officers attended the scene and arrested a 45-year-old man on suspicion of possessing an imitation firearm.

He was also held on suspicion of public order offences and is being questioned in custody. Anyone with information is asked to contact the force.
