Views on 1,000 Vale of White Horse new homes sought

Residents in south-west Oxfordshire are being asked for their views on plans for 1,000 new homes in a bid to ease a housing shortage.

The Vale of White Horse council said an interim housing plan could see a number of development regulations relaxed within and next to towns and villages.

The council, which covers Abingdon, Faringdon and Wantage, said there would be a "carefully managed approach".

Consultation on the draft plan will run until 25 November.
