Father and son stabbed in burglary in Oxfordshire

A father and son have been stabbed during a burglary in Oxfordshire.

Thames Valley Police said a woman discovered two men in her house in Wey Road, Berinsfield, near Drayton St Leonard, in the early hours.

When she screamed, her 45-year-old husband and 17-year-old son came downstairs and a fight broke out.

During the struggle the son was stabbed in his arm and torso and the father suffered a knife wound to his scalp and a cut eyebrow.

The teenager was taken to the JR2 Hospital in Oxford and later discharged after receiving treatment.

The suspects are described as white and slim. One was about 5ft 9in tall, the other was 5ft 4in tall. Both wore dark clothing and scarves over their faces.

Police said a 15-year-old boy who was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary has been eliminated from enquiries and released without charge.
