Two dead in Oxfordshire ravine crash

A 25-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman have died in a crash in Oxfordshire.

The Vauxhall Astra they were travelling in left the B4035 near Banbury and went down a ravine into a copse during the early hours.

The vehicle was discovered by a jogger at about 08:00 GMT. Their families have been informed but police have not yet released their names.

A 28-year-old man is assisting Thames Valley Police with inquiries.

Police said the man was also believed to have been in the car and suffered minor injuries.

Officers are appealing for witnesses.
