Man charged with attempted murder over Oxford stabbing

A man has been charged with attempted murder after an attack in Oxford that left a man with five stab wounds.

The victim, a 33-year-old man, was repeatedly stabbed in the stomach during the attack in Balfour Road, Blackbird Leys, on Saturday.

A 20-year-old man, of no fixed address, remains in custody and will appear before Oxford Magistrates on Friday.

Two other men, aged 24 and 17, arrested after the incident were released without charge.
