Motorist dies from injuries following Basingstoke crash

A man has died following a two-vehicle crash in a Hampshire town.

The collision between the two cars in Basingstoke occurred on Roman Road, at its junction with Wellington Terrace, at 12:40 GMT, police said.

The driver of one of the vehicles was taken to North Hampshire Hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The other driver, a woman, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Queen Alexandra hospital in Cosham. Police closed the road at the A339 roundabout.
