Trains to Didcot and Oxford disrupted by gas cylinder fire

Trains between Oxford and Didcot have started running again following a fire involving a gas cylinder which disrupted the service.

The fire started in Hinksey Yard near Redbridge Park and Ride.

Buses were used to replace trains and journey times were extended by up to 30 minutes.

About 25 firefighters were called to the fire and a 650ft (200m) exclusion zone was set up, due to the risk of the gas cylinder exploding.
