Woman arrested in Oxford murder probe

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder in Oxford.

The 29-year-old was taken into custody at an address in Friars Wharf where the body of a woman in her 50s was discovered.

Det Ch Insp Vince Grey, of Thames Valley Police, said: "There are no further details available at this stage about how the victim died.

"We have someone in custody and we are not looking for anyone else at this time."

Police said they were called to the city centre property of the dead woman at about 07:45 BST on Thursday after "concerns for the welfare of an occupant".
