Work has begun to ease congestion at an Oxfordshire rail station.

The redevelopment at Didcot Parkway station forecourt includes bus, cycle and taxi facilities, better drainage and a new piazza.

The £6.7m project is scheduled to take 15 months with the station remaining operational during that time.

Rodney Rose, from Oxfordshire County Council, said it would "transform the experience" of the station's three million users each year.
