Car owners and enthusiasts are attending an event in Oxfordshire to mark 50 years of the MGB sports car.

More than 500,000 MGB Roadsters were built at the MG factory in Abingdon, before its closure in 1980.

The charity rally at Blenheim Palace features a timeline of MGBs dating from 1962 onwards.

Julian White of the MG Car Club said there was "still huge affection for the brand" in the town. The factory employed 1,400 people at its peak.
