Man stabbed by masked men in Cowley

A man was stabbed repeatedly after five masked men broke into a house in Oxford, police have said.

The 39-year-old was wounded five times in his leg, back and shoulders during the incident in Clive Road in Cowley on Sunday.

Det Con Steve Martin said: "We are not treating this as a random incident and believe property [at the house] may have been specifically targeted."

The man was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital and discharged on Monday.

Mr Martin added: "I am looking to speak to any witnesses who saw a group of men hanging around the Clive Road area before the incident, or who saw the men running off in the direction of the John Allen Centre afterwards."
