A man has pleaded not guilty to stabbing his wife to death at their home in Oxfordshire.

US-born mother of two Janee Parsons, 31, was found dead at the property in Lucerne Avenue, Bicester, on 1 December.

Despite attempts to revive her, she later died in hospital.

Her husband Andrew Parsons, 38, appeared at Oxford Crown Court earlier to deny murder. He was remanded in custody to stand trial on 13 May.

Post-mortem tests found Mrs Parsons died from multiple stab wounds.

Following her death, Mrs Parsons' mother Mary Brady described her as a "wonderful mother" to her two children.

"Janee made me laugh and cry and was one of the brightest lights in my life," she said.
