Banbury boy attack suspect arrested

A man has been arrested after a 12-year-old boy was attacked in Oxfordshire.

The 21-year-old was detained on suspicion of actual bodily harm (ABH) on the boy, who sustained head injuries on 9 March.

He was questioned about the attack before being released on police bail until 14 May.

The victim was punched and kicked in Calthorpe Street, Banbury, and needed hospital treatment.

PC Simon Travis, of Thames Valley Police, said it was the public's "immediate response" to a CCTV image released on Thursday that resulted in the arrest.
