An inquest into the death of a 20-month-old girl whose body was discovered in a house in Oxfordshire has been opened and adjourned.

Sarah Dahane was found in the property in Herald Way, Bicester, on Thursday 16 May, after her father raised the alarm.

Thames Valley Police said it was not yet known how the girl died but her mother, Angela Whitworth, has been named as a murder suspect.

Detectives believe she flew to Kenya and are trying to trace her.

Oxfordshire coroner Darren Salter adjourned the inquest to a date to be set.
